Learn to play Bingo
Bingo is extremely easy to play and works solely on luck, providing you
do not miss any of your numbers.
Each player receives a bingo card with 6 grids on. Contained in these
6 grids are the numbers 1-90. The object of the Bingo in the Bar game is to
firstly achieve a line then a full house in one of these grids before anyone
else. Numbers are shouted out by the caller and the players mark off their
numbers using a dabber (bingo marker which can be brought from the pub). When
a person thinks they have won, they just shout out loudly to stop the game
and allow their win to be verified.
The Bingo Card
Players play 6 grids for each game which means in effect they have every
single number somewhere on their sheet.
Points are awarded to the first player to get a line of numbers. Once
the points for a line have been awarded then players play for the full house,
which means they need to get all the numbers in one particular grid. Once someone
has a full house then the game is over so these six page grids are finished
and players move onto the next page.
Some people award prizes for getting two lines in one grid, but for the purpose
of the Bingo in the Bar league we only award points for one line and a full
house.
If you get a line or a full house then you must shout out and attract the caller’s
attention before they finish reading the next number. If you do not shout out
before the next number is called then you are not able to claim your points
and your claim for that particular feature (line or full house) is void. For
example if you get a line but fail to claim until the next number then your
claim is void. You can still play for the full house.
When someone makes a claim, the caller will verify that the claim is valid
and if it is, then the player will be awarded their points. If there are multiple
claims then all valid claims will be awarded the full points allocation. If
the claim is for a line then once it has been verified players carry on playing
to try and get a full house using the same six grids as before. If the claim
is for a full house once it is verified then the game is over and players move
onto the next page.

Please Note: Players must use a bingo dabber or marker when marking their
numbers that allows the number to be seen through the mark so that any claim
can be verified by the caller.
